Our acoustic curtains can be made to almost any bespoke size. There is normally an advisable size cut off limit at approx. 2 m x 1 m, one for safe use of handling when fitting, and two, to get under our machine. However, this doesn’t stop a large area from being covered as any acoustic curtain can be joined together. We generally achieve this be using sew on type high temperature Velcro.
Each bespoke acoustic curtain can be made using a variety of combinations of acoustic layers. The main two are either a dampening sheet to block unwanted sounds or open cell acoustic foam that absorbs airborne sounds.
Each panel is enclosed in a final outer layer of high temperature silicon coated fibre glass material for health and safety and fire regulations.
A variety of different shape and sized eyelets can also be added.
Calm Cover – Acoustic Generator Box Blanket
Our – acoustic engine blankets can be made into a generator cover/blanket solution to reduce the noise of your generator, now named the NoiseKiller CALM COVER. They are made to form a 5-sided box shape (no bottom section) and each side fastens together using high temperature hook and loop Velcro.
Each side is made up exactly the same as our standard vehicle engine blankets which is, a sheet of blocking Lead, sandwiched inside two layers of class “O” fire rated acoustic foam, covered with a high heat resistant Fortaglas fabric. The lead blocks the generator noise, and the foam absorbs the airborne sounds. We also now add stiffening rods sewn inside the corners and bottom of the cover, thus preventing any sagging and therefore helps to keep its original shape, along with providing further noise reduction.
The blankets help to suppress the constant annoying generator noise. Waterproof, Fireproof, Oil and Grease resistant, Bound, and sealed edges. Any panel can have cut outs/splits/eyelets etc in any position to avoid any cables or air intake areas etc.
A vent is normally recommended for the exhaust area to allow the hot air to escape. We can add any further openings for air intake vents or for cables to pass through etc.
Vehicle Engine Blankets
A sheet of blocking Lead, sandwiched inside two layers of class “O” fire rated acoustic foam, covered with a high heat resistant Fortaglas fabric.
The lead blocks the engine sound, and the foam absorbs the airborne sounds.
The blankets help to suppress the “clatter” from the diesel engine and stop it from entering the cab area. Waterproof, Fireproof, Oil and Grease resistant, Bound, and sealed edges, Brass eyelets for easy fixing.
We stock three standard sizes that generally cover all engines as engines greatly differ in size. (Small 500x500mm, Medium 750×500 and Large 925×500). However, we can manufacture any custom designed engine blanket if you prefer, which can also include cut outs, slots etc
